What is a keyword?

Key is the heart of search engine optimization. It plays the pivotal role in the art of SEO. Keyword is a word or a phrase which is used to search in the search engine to find out the exact needs of the users. Each and every website will concentrate on some business, product, aim or service. The words are phrases which are used to find that particular website or words that are relevant to business, product, or service of the website is called as keywords.

The process of finding the appropriate keywords to a particular site is called as keyword research.
